John Masters Organics Lavender Hydrating Mist Reviews

Review of John Masters Organics Lavender Hydrating Mist for Skin and Hair
by
Irene M.

Packaging: John Masters Organics Lavender Hydrating Mist for Skin and Hair (£16) is presented in a smart brown glass bottle. Labelling is in brown and cream, and the liquid is dispensed through a fine mist spray nozzle. The bottle is packaged in a 100% compostable cardboard box and all product information is written on the box.

Application: Sprayed on face and neck to hydrate and tone skin and on hair to add moisture and shine, this John Masters mist instantly ‘uplifts’ and suits all skin types.

Ingredients: John Masters use only the finest organic and wild-crafted ingredients and all essential oils are steam-distilled. This newly formulated Lavender Hydrating Mist for Skin and Hair contains only one ingredient - 100% certified organic lavender water. How pure is that?!!

Results: John Masters Organics (new formula) Lavender Hydrating Mist for Skin and Hair is a delightful product. Suitable for year round use, it’s benefits are particularly appreciated during hot summer days. The gorgeous scent of lavender instantly refreshes and revives as well as combating dryness with moisture. As someone who often has problems with scented products I was initially unsure whether this spray would suit me, but the fragrance is so light that I had no problems with it. A brilliant product to pop into a handbag for use throughout the day.

Pros:

Perfect for all skin types.

Instantly refreshes and revives – a great ‘pick-me-up’.

An excellent hydrating mist when travelling.

Gorgeously scented.

Cons:

Someone with an extreme sensitivity to fragrance may find this product unsuitable.

John Masters Organics Lavender Hydrating Mist (£16) and John Masters Organics range is available at naturisimo.com.

Rosa Fina Face Lotion Reviews

Review of Rosa Fina Face Lotion Reviews
by Shona B.
Packaging: The Rosa Fina Face Lotion comes in a nice chunky glass bottle with a plastic squirty top. Unfortunately the plastic cap didn’t survive Royal Mail. The glass is clear so no mad panic when you suddenly realize you only have a day or so of product left! It is stylishly designed with some information on what to expect from the product on the front and a bit about the ingredients and brand on the back. The writing is printed on the bottle so no cheap looking stuck on labels to ruin the sleek lines but it is tiny so you may need a magnifying glass. The pump is great (see below) but, and this may be because I don’t have a cap, product does tend to collect on it meaning you have wipe it before use (crusty face lotion is not nice!).

The only negative is that a lot of the products in the Rosa Fina range have similar packaging and the actual words “face lotion” are tiny so first thing in the morning, half asleep it seems a lot of effort to make sure I’m using a face lotion and not a foot cream!

Application: Top marks to the designers of the Rosa Fina Face Lotion dispenser! We’ve all been there, desperately pumping the bottle with one hand to get just enough product to use, whilst trying to hold it and not loose any product we’ve actually managed to get out! Not easy! It’s also incredibly frustrating when one pump delivers far too much lotion and you’re left wondering what to do with the excess. Well, the pump on the face lotion bottle is pretty perfect, it’s big and easy to use and one pump delivers just about the right amount of product to do the face and neck, and a second pump is great for the décolleté.

The bright white lotion has a sort of whipped texture; it’s really light and soft. It soaks into my oily skin super fast, leaving it matt and smooth. I’m always dubious with creams because my skin seems to prefer oils but this product leaves my skin, and me, happy! I have had no adverse effect either by way of increased oil production or dullness, which creams sometimes evoke. I don’t know if the light texture might not be nourishing enough for very dry skins.

And the smell… oh the smell is gorgeous! Now when I received the Rosa Fina Face Lotion I originally thought “Rose, ewwwww, I’ll smell like my gran’s soaps” but I was so wrong! The smell is strong and it does linger but it actually smells like you’ve stuck your nose in the flower, rather than like a product trying to smell like roses. It’s sort of musky and summery at the same time; very feminine and pretty. I have grown to love the smell of this product and I normally dislike strong floral scents.

Ingredients: The bottle states the ingredients are 100% ethically sourced plant-derived ingredients. They include argan oil, lady’s mantel and rosa mosqueta. The Rosa Fina Face Lotion claims to help firm skin as well as leave it soft and “joyous”. I’ve not noticed a firming action but given my age I would be worried if I had! However my skin was soft and it did make me joyous!

Results: I’ve been desperately trying to find a face moisturizer, which is as natural as possible but does the job. I may well have found it! And, it’s a product which is completely natural and very affordable. Fantastic!
Truth be told I noticed no firming action and my skin didn’t drastically change however my skin was soft, calm, non-irritated, not clogged and happy. I didn’t turn into an oil slick but nor did my skin suddenly resemble the Sahara. Make up, and indeed sun protection went over the product easily and I didn’t have to wait hours for it to sink in. The bottle will last a really long time because of the ease of application and it has completely changed my perception of rose scents. The Rosa Fina Face Lotion bottle has the line “joie de vivre” and I agree, joyous happy, rose scented days!

Pros:
Easy to use
Sinks in fast
Wonderful smell
Very affordable
Cons:
Very strong scent may not appeal to all
Will mean I now have to buy more products in the range! Great for me, not great for my bank balance!
Best For:
Me! And, as long as they promise not to buy all the stock, anyone who wants an easy to use light, sinks in fast good moisturizer.

NEW Lily Lolo Makeup

Lily Lolo just in!
We love the new range of Lily Lolo Mineral Cosmetics, the richly pigmented colours and the fact that they are free from toxic chemicals.
Lily Lolo offers a fantastic mineral powder, giving a beautiful and flawless finish and it's also really well priced. Use a Kabuki brush to apply the Lily Lolo mineral foundation (£12). Even if wearing it for outdoor activities or festivals, the finish should remain flawless and dewy.
Lily Lolo concealer (£7) is really good at covering spots and looks really natural while being very affordable. As with most mineral makeup powders, it can be quite messy the first couple of times you use the powders but you get used to it.
My personal favourite is the Waikiki Lily Lolo bronzer (£12), perfect for this time of the year. This is a silky soft 100% natural product which gives a golden glow without the after effects. With a natural SPF, a mineral bronzer is the safest choice for the summer and for a gentle sun-kissed complexion, glamorous finish Waikiki is perfect.
Lily Lolo range of mineral cosmetics (from £5) is now available at Naturisimo.com

Trilogy Rosehip oil Reviews

Reviews of Trilogy Rosehip oil
By Beverly S.
Packaging: Dark glass bottle to protect the oil from light with a petite pipette top for precise quantity of oil for each application.Trilogy Skin Care Buff and red coloured label clearly stating the nature of the oil & the fact it is advanced skincare.

I have been impressed with the quality of Trilogy’s packaging as the petite pipette has remained intact delivering the oil precisely throughout the course. I have used another brand with the same style of bottle but have found the dropper became worn with constant use. Trilogy’s is perfect.

Application: Trilogy’s rosehip oil is very easy to apply & is one of the best I have tried. After cleansing & toning I placed three drops on my finger tips, warmed the oil with both hands massaging then gently tapping the oil (like little rain drops) unto my face. I was amazed at how quickly my skin absorbed the oil even though I have dry skin sometimes intense oil take longer to absorb. I didn't notice a strong smell using Trilogy’s ultra fine rosehip oil.

I was pleasantly surprised to note I could use under my eye area which I am sure helped in boosting the effects of my eye cream.

Trilogy's oil didn't sting, drip or remain oily it was skin perfect!

Comments: Trilogy’s rosehip oil naturally contains the optimum levels of unique fatty acids essential to skin health. It can be used on both face and body which makes the oil most versatile & contains a minimum of 80% essential fatty acids. Trilogy use certified organic rosehip oil which is reassuring as it is the first product I used on my skin after cleansing & toning.

I enjoyed using Trilogy’s rosehip oil so much I ordered their cream cleanser & facial mist toner both of which reflected the same quality of packaging & results.

Results: Within a short time I saw results! My skin felt moisturized even before I used a moisturizer. I had no problems using the Trilogy rosehip oil morning & evening; at no time did my skin feel greasy. I felt radiant but even better the radiance & softness of my skin was commented on which proved to me the benefits of adding the ultra fine rosehip oil into my routine. My skin tone looked more even & a patch of redness on my chin became less obvious, in fact I barely notice the redness which was a concern for me.

Pros: It works to improve most skin concerns face & body

Simply wonderful - I would purchase

Even skin tone

Improved elasticity

Comments on my radiance seem to have lost the dullness from my complexion confidence boosting. I don't see any issues for people with oily skin as the oil absorbs beautifully

Cons: I didn't have any apart from the fact I will need a huge bottle now!

Trilogy Rosehip Oil 20ml (£16), 45ml (£28) and Trilogy Products are Available From Naturisimo.com

Weleda Baby Calendula Nappy Change Cream Reviews

Review of Weleda Baby Calendula Nappy Change Cream
by Kelly B.

Packaging: The Weleda Baby Calendula Nappy Change Cream comes in a white metal tube with a plastic lid. Being metal, the tube squeezes very easily and in a controlled fashion so you never squeeze out more than needed. Plus the tube material provides maximum freshness of product and protects the natural oils more than a plastic tube would. The plastic lid has ridges which make opening the tube very easy even with wet or oily hands.
The tube is encased in a vibrant yellow cardboard box in two tone yellow giving the feeling of sunshine and calendula flowers. The packaging is very informative and quickly alerts you to Weleda’s natural ingredients and ethics and a sticker on the front of the box states what to expect from Weleda from the beginning ‘Natural, ethical, eco-friendly’.
Application: The texture of the Weleda Baby Calendula Nappy Change Cream is very thick and rich yet very easy to apply as it is so rich in oils it just glides onto the skin. In fact you need to be careful on the initial squeeze of the tube as so generous is the natural oil content that it accumulates at the top. After the first squeeze Weleda Nappy Cream is the same consistency throughout the tube. A little goes a long way with Weleda Nappy Cream and a very small amount gives a thick water tight layer. The cream looks white on the skin (like sun block) due to the zinc oxide content. The generous natural oil content means that this product is very creamy and moist on the skin and the oils feel very soothing. It appears to have an anaesthetic effect as I noticed that it took away pain virtually instantly on application. The fragrance of Weleda Baby Calendula Nappy Change Cream is Calendula flowers with undertones of Chamomile. It is a very clean, fresh and relaxing smell. Despite the thick texture of the cream due to the generous oil content it feels comfortable on the skin. I noticed that it created a water tight barrier which was breathable.
Ingredients: Weleda Baby Calendula Nappy Change Cream importantly is ‘free of synthetic fragrances, colours, preservatives and raw materials derived from mineral oils’. Which is very comforting to know when many leading nappy and antiseptic creams on the market contain most of the above harmful ingredients.
This natural nappy change cream contains pure Beeswax and hydrating Lanolin which together provide a protective layer on the skin. Whilst being rich in soothing and comforting Almond oil (the second ingredient) and Sesame oil this cream will suit the most sensitive of skins. This product contains biodynamically grown Calendula extract so you know you are getting top quality and super potent Calendula, which is known to be anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal not to mention very soothing. According to the enclosed leaflet Calendula also aids ‘the healing process of small wounds, red inflamed skin and skin infections’. The Weleda Nappy Cream and its ingredients are not tested on animals.

Weleda Baby Calendula Nappy Change Cream (£6.50) and Weleda baby products are available from Naturisimo.com

Erbaviva Organic NEW

Wish you could find a gorgeous and luxurious mother and baby range without compromising on purity and organic standards? Erbaviva offers a unique collection of the purest, most natural, organic skincare products available for mother and baby and it has just arrived at Naturisimo.
One of our youngest members of the team, Oliver, just 2 months old, has been reviewing Erbaviva Organic Baby Butter (£12) and he seems to love the ultra-smooth texture. This organic baby butter is unlike any other you may have tried. It melts easily with your baby natural body heat and glides over the skin, leaving it moisturized and protected.
Another hero product is the Erbaviva Stretch Mark Cream (£23), a USDA-certified organic skin treatment cream that can be used by both males and females in the drive against wrinkles, stretch marks and other blemishes. For best results you need to apply Erbaviva Stretch Mark Cream twice a day - in the morning after you wake up and just before you go to bed at night. To improve absorption you may take a warm shower or bath before applying the cream.
One of my personal favourites are the Erbaviva deodorants. Parabens, triclosan, aluminum chlorohydrate… do we really need to fill our bodies with cancer-inducing chemicals to get that fresh feeling? Erbaviva's organic deodorants dispenses toxic compounds and opts for simplicity: organic grain alcohol and blends of organic essential oils. That’s all. Available in unisex but delicious fragrances, Lemon Sage, with its distinct notes of sandalwood, as well as the sweet and citrusy Jasmine Grapefruit, Erbaviva deodorants come in 100ml (£15) and travel size 30ml (£4) sizes.
Erbaviva mother and baby range is now available at Naturisimo.com

Sante Cosmetics Foundation Reviews

Review of Sante Soft Cream Foundation by Joanna E.
Packaging: The Sante Soft Cream Foundation (no.1) comes in an opaque plastic pump bottle with lid. The black lettering stands out well on the bottle, giving it a clean, clear look. Not sure how recyclable the plastic is, as no recycling information mark is given on the bottle.
Application: This pump bottle is very easy to use. Being a 30 ml size, it fits easily into your hand and the pump top is more than finger tip sized, making it very easy to press. One squirt from the pump was all that I needed to use each morning and was more than adequate. The Sante Soft Cream Foundation has a lovely smooth texture, making it easy to apply to the skin, as it just glides on. The colour No. 01 is the palest shade they do and is ideal for my skin colour. This makeup foundation gave my skin just that tiny touch of colour, without making it really obvious that I was wearing any colour. It is too pale to disguise any skin blemishes that I have, but it does take the edge off them, which works well for me. The Sante foundation also has a lovely subtle aroma, which is very pleasant and lasts for quite some time before fading away. The foundation blends well on my combination skin and I have had no problems from using it. I only needed one application each morning, as it lasted well all day and then was easy to remove at night.
Ingredients: Sante Cosmetics don’t list their ingredients on the bottle, but the complete list was easy to find on the Naturisimo website. Some of the ingredients are organic, but not all the main ones are. Being vegetarian, I was concerned about one of the ingredients listed, which was Squalane, usually derived from shark oil, but the very knowledgeable people from Naturisimo said the squalane that Sante uses is derived from plants. The Sante Soft Cream Foundation contains cupuaçu butter and jojoba oil, both of which are nourishing to the skin and gives the product a lovely silky feel. The whole Sante range is free from the harsh chemical additives, preservatives, and colours, which is excellent. The Soft Cream Foundation carries a best before date, which is very helpful in keeping track of how long you have had it and has a long enough life to enable you to easily use all the product by the date given.
Results:
This is a lovely Foundation Cream which gives my skin just that hint of colour to take the winter paleness away. I found it easy to use, it lasted all day and the ingredients were very nourishing to my skin. A reasonably priced product from a good company.
Pros:
Lovely texture and aroma
Colour works well for my skin
One application lasts all day for me
Cons: Would be useful to have the ingredients listed on the bottle.

Sante Soft Cream Foundation (£17.50) and Sante Makeup products are available at Naturisimo.com

Trilogy is committed to the careful selection of the purest botanical ingredients and exceptional formulations designed for women seeking healthier, truly beautiful skin. The key of Trilogy Skincare advanced formulas is that they make life more beautiful, not more complicated.
The hero product in the range is the Trilogy Rosehip oil (£28). I used it AM and PM on cleansed skin. In the morning I applied a little SP factor 15 on the top to finish off. My skin has is glowing and I have had comments from a few people (I only have been using it for a week). Because I have combination skin, I avoid the T-zone so for dry skin types so it will be absolutely perfect. There is a lot of evidence to back up its effectiveness. Plus oils are absorbed by the skin very well and many have a natural affinity.Trilogy Rosehip Oil is also very good for softening scars, sunburn and the like. The authors of the Beauty Bible are devotees and Red Magazine UK said is "A truly exceptional product. Just a few drops work wonders."
Other stars in the range include the Trilogy Balancing Gel Cleanser (£22), great for acne- prone skin as it is free from harsh surfactants and designed to very gently adhere to and dissolve impurities; and the Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream (£24), perfect for most skin types to deeply hydrate and protect skin.
To top it all, Trilogy is bringing us a great launch offer: Buy any 2 or more Trilogy Age Proof products and get a FREE Trilogy Age Proof Nutrient Plus Firming Serum worth £29.95 (no code required). John Masters Organics Face Cleanser Reviews

Review of John Masters Organics Linden Blossom Face Crème Cleanser
by Caroline S.
Packaging: In keeping with the John Masters Organics ethos, the packaging is as recyclable and environmentally friendly as possible. The John Masters cleanser is contained within a rich, brown glass bottle complete with pump action dispenser. The outer packaging is a deep cream-coloured cardboard box made from 100% recycled paper, printed with 100% soy and is itself 100% compostable. So, apart from fulfilling all your eco-friendly needs, the packaging looks smart and expensive and the pump dispenser means that your cleanser is both easily accessed and yet kept safe from contamination. I must state that the instructions for this cleanser are not printed on the bottle itself but on the outside of the box - so don't throw it away before you have a quick read!

Application: Okay, this could be a lengthy review so I will get the basics out of the way first. The John Masters crème cleanser itself is a rather liquid, non-foaming lotion with a pale off-white colour and a smooth, soft consistency. It comes out of the pump easily and with a large dose delivered per pump. I will feely admit that the initial smell of the cleanser put me off slightly - it is quite strong, very herbal (almost medicinal smelling) and to my nose smells like aniseed or liquorice. This would be great except for the fact that I cannot bear aniseed or liquorice - although, the ingredients do not list either of these so please feel free to make your own judgement! Personal tastes aside, I will describe the scent of the John Masters lotion as "powerful" and "actively herbal" - which is not, in itself, a bad thing at all to be fair. So now you are probably wondering why this review is going to be lengthy when, on the face of it, this is a simple cleansing lotion. Well, the truth is that this is so much more than your standard cleanser. Yes, it removes dirt and make-up as well as you could hope for and if all you want is a quick "slap on and wipe off" cleanser then you will be happy enough with this one.
However, personally, I think
John Masters Organics Linden Blossom Crème Cleanser is wasted as simply a make-up remover. My personal preference is ususally to remove make-up with a relatively low-priced natural lotion cleanser and then wash my face with a really high quality cleansing wash that addresses my current needs (dry areas, spots, oily patches etc). I'm not generally looking to be impressed by cream cleansers as I don't rely on them for any particular moisturising needs - but my curiosity was piqued when I read the following instructions on the box: "Massage onto wet or dry skin - may be left on skin for 5-10 minutes for extra hydrating benefits".
This is why I say that it is much, much more than a standard, everyday cleanser. I found that I gained the best effects by using this cleanser in the morning in the shower. Morning skin should be reasonably clean of all but natural oils (assuming that you thoroughly cleansed the evening before) and better able to absorb the delicious ingredients in the cleanser whilst also taking advantage of its cleansing properties. I apply one or two pump before stepping into the shower and then leave it to work whilst I wash my body. I rinse off just prior to getting out and it leaves my skin soft, plumped, dewy and incredibly moisturised. The other way I found to get maximum benefit was to remove make-up with a cheaper cleanser and then apply John Masters Organics Linden Blossom Crème Cleanser afterwards. Leave for anything from 60 seconds up to 10 minutes and remove any way you wish - rinsing with water, or removing with a damp muslin cloth or flannel.
The John Masters cleanser describes itself as being for "Dry/Mature" skin - however I would recommend it for sensitive skin (like mine) and also combination. It rinses off completely, leaving no residue but leaving behind effects that you can definitely feel immediately.
By all means use this cleanser to remove make-up - as long as you also give it a try as a cleansing, moisture mask at least once! If it can impress a "cleanser sceptic" like myself, it really must be something just a little bit special.

Ingredients:
• rose flower oil - treats dry and sensitive skin
• linden blossom - softens and soothes skin
• ginseng - toning; revitalizing
• ylang ylang - antiseptic; nourishing
• radish root - new all-natural preservative; protects against harmful bacteria

Results: Great results - and I admit that I am surprised by just how great they actually are! My skin is soft and soothed, the John Masters face cleanser is so incredibly gentle that it is a real joy to use. Even on sore patches, it doesn't tingle or sting and it removes dirt without any need to rub. It gives an extra level of moisturisation to your daily routine and provides real results with little effort.
Pros:
Gorgeous packaging - and environmentally friendly too
Removes make-up and dirt without the need to rub skin
Makes an excellent moisturising masque whilst cleansing at the same time
Leaves skin soft, soothed and hydrated
Has a really luxurious, creamy feel upon application
Cons:
The smell is unusual and a little strong at first - however, as always, this is down to personal taste
The price may be too high for some - however if you consider its double-use and your skin type doesn't need intensively moisturising, it is a cost-effective way of adding a light moisture masque to a daily routine.
