Rosa Fina Face Lotion Reviews

Review of Rosa Fina Face Lotion Reviews
by Shona B.
Packaging: The Rosa Fina Face Lotion comes in a nice chunky glass bottle with a plastic squirty top. Unfortunately the plastic cap didn’t survive Royal Mail. The glass is clear so no mad panic when you suddenly realize you only have a day or so of product left! It is stylishly designed with some information on what to expect from the product on the front and a bit about the ingredients and brand on the back. The writing is printed on the bottle so no cheap looking stuck on labels to ruin the sleek lines but it is tiny so you may need a magnifying glass. The pump is great (see below) but, and this may be because I don’t have a cap, product does tend to collect on it meaning you have wipe it before use (crusty face lotion is not nice!).

The only negative is that a lot of the products in the Rosa Fina range have similar packaging and the actual words “face lotion” are tiny so first thing in the morning, half asleep it seems a lot of effort to make sure I’m using a face lotion and not a foot cream!

Application: Top marks to the designers of the Rosa Fina Face Lotion dispenser! We’ve all been there, desperately pumping the bottle with one hand to get just enough product to use, whilst trying to hold it and not loose any product we’ve actually managed to get out! Not easy! It’s also incredibly frustrating when one pump delivers far too much lotion and you’re left wondering what to do with the excess. Well, the pump on the face lotion bottle is pretty perfect, it’s big and easy to use and one pump delivers just about the right amount of product to do the face and neck, and a second pump is great for the décolleté.

The bright white lotion has a sort of whipped texture; it’s really light and soft. It soaks into my oily skin super fast, leaving it matt and smooth. I’m always dubious with creams because my skin seems to prefer oils but this product leaves my skin, and me, happy! I have had no adverse effect either by way of increased oil production or dullness, which creams sometimes evoke. I don’t know if the light texture might not be nourishing enough for very dry skins.

And the smell… oh the smell is gorgeous! Now when I received the Rosa Fina Face Lotion I originally thought “Rose, ewwwww, I’ll smell like my gran’s soaps” but I was so wrong! The smell is strong and it does linger but it actually smells like you’ve stuck your nose in the flower, rather than like a product trying to smell like roses. It’s sort of musky and summery at the same time; very feminine and pretty. I have grown to love the smell of this product and I normally dislike strong floral scents.

Ingredients: The bottle states the ingredients are 100% ethically sourced plant-derived ingredients. They include argan oil, lady’s mantel and rosa mosqueta. The Rosa Fina Face Lotion claims to help firm skin as well as leave it soft and “joyous”. I’ve not noticed a firming action but given my age I would be worried if I had! However my skin was soft and it did make me joyous!

Results: I’ve been desperately trying to find a face moisturizer, which is as natural as possible but does the job. I may well have found it! And, it’s a product which is completely natural and very affordable. Fantastic!
Truth be told I noticed no firming action and my skin didn’t drastically change however my skin was soft, calm, non-irritated, not clogged and happy. I didn’t turn into an oil slick but nor did my skin suddenly resemble the Sahara. Make up, and indeed sun protection went over the product easily and I didn’t have to wait hours for it to sink in. The bottle will last a really long time because of the ease of application and it has completely changed my perception of rose scents. The Rosa Fina Face Lotion bottle has the line “joie de vivre” and I agree, joyous happy, rose scented days!

Pros:
Easy to use
Sinks in fast
Wonderful smell
Very affordable
Cons:
Very strong scent may not appeal to all
Will mean I now have to buy more products in the range! Great for me, not great for my bank balance!
Best For:
Me! And, as long as they promise not to buy all the stock, anyone who wants an easy to use light, sinks in fast good moisturizer.

Barefoot Botanicals Rosa Fina Face Lotion Reviews

Review of Barefoot Botanicals Rosa Fina Face Lotion
by Caroline S.
Packaging: The Rosa Fina face lotion comes in a lovely glass bottle with a pump dispenser. I personally think that this packaging is absolutely perfect for such a beautiful, natural product. The branding is printed on a transparent wrap so the entire contents of the bottle are visible. The Rosa fina lotion itself is a delicious fresh white colour and the opaque white pump dispenser means that there is no risk of contamination of the product - unlike dipping your finger in a pot of cream. The overall effect of the packaging is of a lotion that is fresh and pure and thoroughly inviting.
Application: The pump dispenser on the Rosa Fina face lotion deserves a special mention because it is just so downright fabulous. It actually dispenses, in one single pump, the precise amount needed to cover your entire face. That probably doesn't sound too thrilling - but if you consider the amount of wasteage you get with some dispensers, this is a real marvel. It is small things like that that really show the company puts thought and effort into their products - and I want to applaud Barefoot Botanicals for a small thing that makes a big difference. So, after being delighted with my first squirt, I was thoroughly pleased to discover that the Rosa Fina lotion has a good density to it. I have been disappointed in the past by lotions that are incredibly watery but the Rosa Fina is more of a lightweight cream. The smell is mouthwatering and, pleasantly, a little stronger than I expected. I don't always find rose-scented products to be particularly impressive, however this lotion packs a surprising punch. The scent is rather like spicy turkish delight and, whilst not being overwhelming, it does linger enough to make you feel sensuous and exotic - remember the old Turkish Delight adverts?
The Rosa Fina face lotion is absorbed almost instantly into the skin leaving it velvety soft and not remotely greasy. Now for the best part - the description on the bottle hints at a firming action - and wow, does it deliver! Skin does feel immediately tightened and firm. The only way I can describe it is to say that it is similar to the feeling you get after using a toner and letting it evaporate off your skin. It is taut but in no way dry or unpleasant feeling. Absolutely wonderful under make-up because it dries matte, it gives you a really youthful, bright complexion.
Ingredients: rosa mosqueta, plus coltsfoot, horsetail and lady’s mantle strengthen collagen and elastin, plump fine lines and firm skin. Argan, borage and jojoba oils provide essential fatty acids to soothe and strengthen the skin’s barrier and protect against moisture loss and environmental damage.

Results: Well, the name of this product is Rosa Fina joie de vivre - which translates as "the joy of living" and I certainly feel that it lives up to its name. It is so quick and simple to apply and yet the results are immediate - firmer, plumper skin and moisturisation in one. Ah, you ask, instant firming but does it last? Well, in my case, yes. I can honestly say that my skin looks more refined and plumped. I am noticing that after 3 weeks of using Rosa Fina daily, my foundation is gliding on a lot more smoothly and my cheeks seem more defined and youthful in appearance.
Now, although it claims to reduce scarring, rosacea and pigmentation, I personally haven't noticed any signs yet of my ruddy cheeks being calmed by this lotion. Although, to be fair, I think it probably takes longer than 20 days to see results such as that. What I can tell you, is that I was so genuinely impressed with the firming action of the face lotion, that I have treated myself to a bottle of the Rosa Fina "lifting and firming" body lotion too!

Pros: Fabulous pump dispenser means less waste and no contamination of product
A little goes a long way - so it works out as very cost effective
Fantastic matte finish means it is wonderful either under make-up or worn alone on a bare face
Wonderful, enchanting smell
Instant feeling of tightened skin and a genuine plumping action with repeated use
Cons: If you have very dry/sore skin you may not like the taut feeling it gives
Very dry skin may benefit more from a heavier cream rather than this lotion

Rosa Fina Nourishing Cleansing Milk Reviews

Review of Barefoot Botanicals Rosa Fina Nourishing Cleansing Milk
by Sally S.

Packaging: The Rosa Fina Cleansing Milk comes in a plastic pump dispensing bottle inside a beautiful box outer. I love the simplicity of the pump dispensing bottle, it gives out just the right amount. I was disappointed to see that the bottle is plastic though, I prefer glass as it’s easier to get recycled.

Application: The Rosa Fina cleanser is a light textured milk. It is refreshing to use and a little goes along way as you massage it into the face and neck. The best method of removing it is with a hot cloth or flannel. It can be used to remove eye make up too and did not sting my sensitive eyes at all. However I think it would struggle to remove waterproof mascara effectively.

Ingredients: The aroma of the Rosa Fina Cleansing Milk was gorgeous, a very sophisticated smell which made it very pleasant to use each day. The fragrance comes from the rosa damascena, juniper, frankincense and mandarin essential oils. The ingredients are 100 % natural and careful attention seems to have been placed on using refreshing, cleansing and detoxifying herbs to support the rosa mosqueta oil that is used through out the range for its firming properties.

Results: Having used the Rosa Fina cleanser for a while I have found my skin has remained problem free, the cleanser removes all traces of make up. My skin has felt a little drier since using the cleanser which is not a problem as it can be a tad oily if not treated properly.

Pros:
Fantastic dispensing pump delivers just the right amount.
Only requires a small amount of product so the 125ml will last ages.
Skin feels fresh and clean after using the cleanser.

Cons:
· Plastic bottle, I prefer glass.
· It did not remove my eye make up fully.

Rosa Fina Rejuvenating Masque Reviews

Review of Barefoot Botanicals Rosa Fina Rejuvenating Masque.
by Nicky B.
Packaging
The Rosa Fina Rejuvenating Masque comes in a white plastic tube with a flip top lid. With its black, pink and silver lettering it looks fresh and expensive!

Application
The Rosa Fina masque felt creamy and fresh on my face and even though I had applied a fair amount within 15 minutes it had nearly all absorbed into my skin. It felt incredibly moisturizing, non-sticky and smelt glorious – a gentle hint of sensual frankincense, one of those rich relaxing essential oils that I love. I didn’t know quite what to expect and I can tell you I was so pleased it didn’t turn into one of those masques that you have to peel off. My experience of these is that lots of ‘bits’ get left behind and you end up more stressed than when you started.

Ingredients
I haven’t used any Barefoot Botanicals products before as I’ve previously thought they were quite expensive. However on closer inspection I see that the ingredients of the Rosa Fina mask actually include a whole range of wonderful and I’m sure quite pricey ingredients including essential oils, mowrah butter (from the seeds of two species of the Indian Madhuca or Butter tree), kokum (obtained from the seeds of the Indian Garcinia indicia tree) and rosa moschata (musk rose) – its origins are thought to lie in the western Himalayas. There are no ‘chemical nasties’ in this masque, it is ‘cruelty free’ and ‘suitable for vegans’. The ingredients are 100% ethically-sourced plant derived. Fabulous!

Results
My skin (and I) certainly felt in need of a bit of rejuvenation so I had high hopes for this organic facial mask. I have very sensitive skin and sensitive eyes and my eyes did tingle a little when I first applied the masque, but this sensation immediately disappeared and they felt fine. My skin felt nourished and pampered. I’m going to use the Barefoot Botanicals Rosa Fina masque to brighten up my complexion before an evening out next time.
Pros:
Smells wonderful and full of lovely exotic ethically sourced ingredients
My skin felt rejuvenated and pampered
It is apparently good for many different types of skin e.g. combination, sensitive, blemished and mature
Cons:
· It is quite expensive but the quality ingredients are the reason why.
